How to Endear Yourself to Your Quarterback (and the fans)
Step 1 -- Go to Arizona:
Kevin Curtis' most important offseason training will not begin for another few weeks. That is when the Eagles' newest wide receiver will head to Tempe, Ariz., to start working with quarterback Donovan McNabb...
For the time being, Curtis and the other wide receivers are catching passes from A.J. Feeley, Kelly Holcomb and rookie Kevin Kolb. But he plans on making the trip to Arizona — where McNabb has an offseason home and does much of his training — in hopes of establishing a rapport for the upcoming season.
Curtis spent the previous four seasons with St. Louis, where he played primarily with quarterback Marc Bulger. Now he has to get used to working with McNabb.
“He's been throwing passes to me a couple of days a week for the last couple of months,” Curtis said. “But it's not the same. I want us to get to the point where everything gets to be second nature. “I don't know how long that will take, but going to Arizona will help us to start working on some things. It's going to take time if you have two guys who have never worked together.”
Step 2 -- Don't ever do this.
(And Step 3? Well, don't try Step 3 at home...)

No driveway workout?
I think Curtis is going to be fine. He seems to have an annoying persistence to him of the can't-help-but-be-productive WR. Still, I don't know that he'll be as versatile as Stallworth was, but Stallworth's versatility unfortunately included a vast array of ways to pass time on the SL in street clothes. I suspect Bloom and/or Johnson is/are going to have serve as (a) viable deep threat(s). (Wow, that's ugly.) That, I'm assuming, also means NOT being on the field only to run posts.

looks like johnson is a no-go, at least for now: http://www.philly.com/dailynews/sports/20070607_Curtis_fits_in_with_low-key_receiving_corps.html (at the very bottom)
The Eagles have released wideout and kick returner Bethel Johnson, a little less than 3 months after signing him as a free agent from the Minnesota Vikings. But the unofficial word is that Johnson, currently unable to pass a physical because of a stress fracture of the fibula, should return to the Birds' roster at some point.
