Bad Sign for McDougle

There have been rumblings coming out of training camp that star-crossed defensive end Jerome McDougle might actually be putting on a strong showing.  Barring injury, it's almost certainly too little, too late for the former first-round draft pick, no matter what, but here's a bad sign for McDougle fans in the Daily News' training camp blog:

"Pat McCoy really blew up Jerome McDougle during 1-on-1 line drills."

That would be second-team offensive tackle Pat McCoy.  In fairness, McCoy looks like he might some day be a player in this league.  Just not any time soon.
