Quick Post Today

Might have something more for the evening, but in the meantime, check out who new USA Today football blogger Chris Colston is picking to win the Super Bowl this year.
It seems like brand new NFL blogs are starting up all over the place these days -- and most of them are coming from the big, established media folks. It's almost not fair. They get the newspapers, access to the locker room, advertising revenue, press box buffets ... we little people should at least get to keep our monopoly on reposting stuff other people have written, writing meaningless filler posts to keep our traffic up and making snarky comments about real, actual sportswriters every time they have a typo.
This new blog looks promising, though, and I don't just say that because he was absurdly nice in tossing me a heads up and a link this afternoon. It already has a good voice and since he has a travel budget it includes actual reporting. (Not sure about his #4 negative though. Kevin Curtis is a speedster, Jeremy Bloom could be useful in some situations and Hank Baskett used his deceptive speed to catch two 80+ yard TD passes last year.)
Now if we can just get ol' Doc Z. on board the Eagles bandwagon as well, then we'll be in great shape.
***Also, reminder that the Cowboys play the Colts tonight on Fox at 8ET. The Colts are a little banged up.
