One More Reason to Dislike Yankees Fans
If I ever write something like this:
"Not so fast. While things seem to be at their worst, it's time for the New York faithful to step away from the ledge and get some perspective: The state of our team is strong.
"Despite the loss, the Yankees remain—by far—baseball's most valuable franchise, and the team is only going to become more valuable over the coming years. The team's sports network is worth as much as $3 billion—try to compete with that, Toronto Blue Jays."
Someone please slap the shit out of me.
(You think I'm overreacting? He's gleeful about the higher prices, surfeit of luxury boxes and state-of-the-art "mallpark" features of the new Yankees stadium.)

This might be hard for you to comprehend, (it is for most of my friends,) but I am a die hard Yankees AS WELL AS a die hard Eagles fan. My family came from northeast PA and I just kind of inherited their sports ideology, which happened to be Yankees and Eagles. I don't know why they weren't Phillies fans, and all the Yankee shenanegans over the years have made me wish I could chose another team sometimes... but I've found it just doesn't work that way. Every spring I can't wait to see a Yankees game again. One thing's for sure, I'm not anti-anyone, even the Red Sox. I've never really understood why you're supposed to hate anyone as a die-hard fan of one team. That being said, before I get all Ghandi on you, Dallas winning is somewhat obnoxious to me. But I like Romo-- he's got a good sense of humor. He's harder to dislike than TO or Roy Williams.
