They need a STATEMENT DRIVE.

A time consuming, ball keeping, DRIVE, a drive for the ages.

A drive that Merril Reese will still get misty eyed about on his death bed.

They need a touchdown, and they need a long drive doing it.

I can't believe the stops the defense has provided this 2d half.

They're ACTUALLY GETTING BETTER AGAINST THE PATRIOTS OFFENSE.

Too often they're looking for Westbrook.

They didn't get here by Westbrook, but by their receivers contributing.

They can't get away from that now.

They can't freeze, they can't get cautious.

They need to let their receivers CONTINUE to make plays, and not force the ball to Westbrook.

Right now, they're forcing the ball to Westbrook.

That's unwise.

And put Feeley in shotgun.

If they can hold them to a field goal, needless to say, that would be huge.

And another thing, the Patriots haven't had a turnover all night.

But it's coming.

The key is to make sure that turnover occurs when the game is still on the line, instead of it happening when the Patriots are up by several scores.

But look for a turnover, a fumble, a sack that results in the ball coming loose, and of course, an interception.

Wes Welker = death by 1,000 cuts

Well, hopefully this loosens up the play calling.

Because Feeley is either going to be allowed to do it, or they're going to force the ball to Westbrook.

They got to this point by allowing Feeley to find people crossing the middle.

Get back to that.

Remember, it was WELKER that beat the Cowboys. That and the Cowboys' offensive penalties in the 2d half, which killed their drives.

But the Cowboys moved the ball.

But they couldn't get any stops, except two I think in the 2d half.

And that was due to Welker. The cowboy who plays the slot guy is Newman, and he was out for that game, which meant Welker had a gargantuan gain.

This is no time for a penalty on the return.

Terrible call on that penalty.

That interception should dampen the AJ for President talk a little bit this week. That was dumb.

Yes, it was understandable from an emotional perspective.

But it was a mistake, and it wasn't necessary, and thus they left that team of jerks off the hook.

Well, they played like men.

They fought.

They got key defensive stops in the 2d half.

They showed up.

If they played like that all year, they probably would be battling for the NFC East title.

I suppose it was just like the Super Bowl, it was there for the taking, but they let that team skate.

In fact, against this offense, which was much better than the one in the Super Bowl, they got more 2d half stops.

In the Super Bowl the Patriots scored on something like their last 5 of 6 drives, something like that.

Tonight they got stops, key stops, they held them to field goals.

Stupid wasteful interception.

McNabb is breathing easier tonight I suppose. Even though with him on the field this would never have been a game.

Another force.

Well, this was the time to force.

BUT that previous interception, there was no need for that.

Well, there are reasons why Feeley has been bounced around the NFL.

And tonight we saw it. He showed promise, he fought, he was gutsy.

He deserved better.

Well, adiós for the evening.

The people who watched this game got their moneys worth.

The Eagles have much to mull over after such a game.

Because this raises questions, why doesn't this football team play like this more often.

How was it they got so many points tonight, but have stuttered against teams with lesser defenses.

Why the passion tonight, but absent elsewhere.

Many, many questions.

Welker will kill ya' if given the opportunity.

The Cowboys found that out.

The only teams with a chance against the Patriots are the Packers and the Cowboys, who can exchange scores with them.
