So Now They're Not Trading McNabb
Look, I'm as bored of this part of the offseason as you are. As a friend remarked the other day after reading the blog, "Compensatory picks? Zzzzzz..."
But I consider it mandatory to point out that Sports Illustrated's Peter King is knocking down absolutely any rumors you might have heard (perhaps from Sports Illustrated's Peter King?) about the Eagles trading Donovan McNabb:
Save all the rumor-mongering about Donovan McNabb. It's not as though the Eagles categorically wouldn't trade him. But the chances of some team blowing Philadelphia away with an offer for a 31-year-old quarterback who has missed at least two games due to injury in four of his last six seasons is very, very small.
"If you got a ridiculous offer for McNabb,'' Eagles coach Andy Reid was asked at the NFC Coaches Breakfast at the league meetings this morning, "would you consider trading him?'' "No,'' Reid said, and paused. "Probably not.'' Reid said he has heard from no team interested in trading for McNabb, and he didn't expect to.
The link is worth following only for the last two sentences.
