Not saying he's the next Trent Cole, although the similarities are there. Just saying that to knock the guy for his pre-NFL numbers seems a little shortsighted given the Trent Cole experience.


I guess. For a 4-3 team, they sure like these tweeners. I'd feel better if they'd grabbed somebody like Red Bryant, DT from Texas A&M, so they'd have a 3-4 noseguard on the roster. If they're heading in that direction even part-time they'll need that massive space-eater in the middle.

I can see the potential, I just have a beef with how early they took him. But, if you like a guy that much then you might as well take him.
I do like the versatility the Eagles are going to be boasting on defense. Lots of speed on the edges and with the addition of Laws in the middle we should have a very solid group in the middle for years to come.
