Radio Recap
Thanks again to Harry and Dan from the Locker Room on 950 ESPN for having me on last night to talk about the Eagles. We covered a range of topics, from McNabb's shoulder to DeSean Jackson's hamstrings to Westbrook's contract and some of the more nitty-gritty stats stuff as well.
I started a little rough, but then things smoothed out. They've podcasted it again, so click either the red button or June 10th link in the middle column to listen to the interview.
And yeah, they notice how many people listen, so if you're at work, just turn the sound off and listen on mute. That's fine with me.
Here are links to past posts that cover many of the topics we discussed in more detail:
Season / age of the roster (bonus goodness 2006 post expressing frustration with the youngsters)
Banner on Westbrook's contract
Westbrook vs. Tiki Barber
Don't blame the offensive line for the sacks
Max Jean-Gilles weighs too much
Jason Taylor (with a point I forgot to make about the Cowboys)
That 2004 story from PE.com about McNabb's shoulder (this one takes forever to load because it's from the Internet Wayback machine)
Finally, something weird is going on with the site that's causing Internet Explorer to close at times when it loads. I'm trying to figure out what's going on there. Sorry if that affects you in the meantime.

From your previous post on sacks and the offensive line:
"but the fact of the matter is that the Eagles' QB takes a ton of sacks"
That's actually an understatement - I did some research last year and McNabb's 2.5/game sack ratio for his career is WAY up there, perhaps even being the highest rate in NFL history for a QB over their entire career.
The only worse ratio I could find was for Vinny Testaverde when he played with Tampa Bay his first 6 years – his sack ratio was just slightly higher at 2.6 per game. But that was just for those 6 TB years.
The key implication is that, much like a RB gets worn down after so many tackles, QBs get worn down after so many sacks.
I think we just saw that happen with Steve McNair in Baltimore - he had taken so many hits with the Titans, he just wasn't the same guy with the Ravens.
I just wonder if McNabb might be falling into that McNair category now.
