Disgraceful
From the Inky:
In the small, exclusive community of Gladwyne, wealthier even than Beverly Hills or Scarsdale, neighbors recently were stunned to discover a flyer, ugly in tone, in their mailboxes...
It read: "Attention please, read if you care about your neighborhood!!! How can we prevent Aaron McKie from moving into our safe and peaceful neighborhood. His house is almost complete on Youngsford Road. Let's prevent another Iverson from moving in!"
Money quote:
But one longtime resident, Bobbie Willoughby, who was secretary of the Gladwyne Civic Association for 22 years before moving to Bryn Mawr last year, said she wouldn't want to live next to McKie.
"It's a little scary. He totes a gun, and his behavior is a little excessive, like he's out of control. I wouldn't care if an African American moved in next to me, but if he's carrying a gun and he's abusive, I really don't want it," she said.
She said she wouldn't mind living next to a negro, uh, colored, oops, AFRICAN-AMERICAN so he long as he wasn't, you know, one of those wild, scary types like she sees in those hippity-hop videos her son likes so much.

In the body of the article the ACTUAL residents of Gladwyne talk about how they are appalled at the flyer. Your money quote comes from someone who moved out of the neighborhood a year ago and had the f---ing audacity to express a not so PC opinion on race. She overreacted, big f'n deal.
Tracer, maybe she was just worried about the type who beat Sean Conroy to death. Or the person who shot Beau Zabel in the neck.

The comment above is mine.

I enjoy your wholly unfounded presumption that Beau Zabel was murdered by an African-American almost as much as I enjoy her presumption that black man+handgun = bloodthirsty criminal. But Lord knows we shouldn't let facts get in the way of our bigotry.
