Great Moments in Sportswriting

Posted by Derek

From Marty's press conference today:

On whether he thinks blocking is one of the most important skills at the fullback position: "That's a big part of it, yes."

Marty went on to explain that "passing" is big for quarterbacks, "catching" is something they look for in wide receivers and "running the ball" is an absolute must for running backs.

UPDATE:  Ok, sadly the real story isn't quite this good.  I watched the video just to see the look on Marty's face when this question was asked.  Unfortunately, the actual question, rather than the paraphrase, was more like "Is it blocking really more than anything at that position," which is a defensible semi-fish about how the coaches rank blocking/running/receiving when they're looking at fullbacks.

Maybe the headline should really be "Great Moments in Transcription."  But that doesn't sound as funny.
