Note to Marty

McNabb's back.  We can stop running the Garcia offense.

Update:  Ok, good call to Jackson.  Stay ready for next transmission.

Second update:  Sneak preview of the video rewind this week:

"Then it rained a lot.  Then they talked about Brett Favre.  Then we saw Jeff Foxworthy..."

This sucks.

Third update:  10-0 at the two-minute warning.  This continues to suck.

Comments

McNabb was missing far too many open receivers. He had two on that over throw to Curtis with Baskett open in the left flat.

p.s. I loved the break to the ball by Asante on the first play.

On the other hand, it's raining pretty hard and Jackson is a rookie who didn't get on the field much so they probably aren't locked in yet.

But yeah, me too.

And I also loved seeing Asante mix it up on that running play too.

Anyone not want to see the starters again after the rain delay? Im conflicted about it, injuries and all. Special teams aint lookin that special.

Nice toss from Kolb...right on the money and lays it right in there for Lewis. Hunt also looked very good on that series. Garbage time, I know...but, nice to see nonetheless.

And then he followed it up with a great special teams tackle.

He was unblocked, of course, but hey, it's something.

And then breaks a tackle and puts the Eagles on top. Wasn't pretty, but it counts.

Hell. Yeah.

I've always disliked it when people have said Tony isn't really that fast. He's the MVP of the game. If there can be one for preseason. Nice ST tackle, nice one-handed low pass catch, and great runs.

ST coverage seems to be doing well, but it's the offensive side of ST that still needs a lot of work.

I'm worried about Booker's hands too.

Well that turned around fast.

Nice 4th quarter, guys.

Is it just me or did Dawk knock Muhammed out cold in the end-zone?

Watch the replay again, MM definitely goes limp. You can see his arms go slack.

That was a big friggin' hit. I feel 20 percent better about Dawk after seeing that he can still bring the wood.

How much did L.J. play? He was not one of the 11 Eagles who caught a pass. Not good.

Good to see Collins get three tough yards on third and one. That would be a nice addition to the playbook.

I don't think a ball was thrown LJ's way. Just because you didn't see him catch a pass doesn't mean he wasn't effective in some manner.

Right you are, Eric; but the title of the post is "Note to Marty," so the "not good" here is not a knock on L.J. I'd like to see him get a few touches in this preseason.
