You Must Be Joking
Domo in today's DN (which, yes, I've just gotten around to reading -- I'm on the West Coast):
Bottom line: Knowing what we know about Jackson, if he continues to play as well the rest of the season as he has in the first four games, the Eagles can almost certainly expect an offseason call from Heller about redoing Jackson's deal. And if Heller won't make the call, you can bet there's a hair-gel-loving agent down in Miami who already has the kid on his potential-client radar.
Two years ago, the Eagles gave contract extensions to three of their '05 draft picks - defensive tackle Mike Patterson, wide receiver Reggie Brown and defensive end Trent Cole. But those were extensions of the original deals with a big signing bonus tacked on.
Something tells me that's not going to be terribly appealing to Jackson. But if the Eagles can get 88 catches and 1,300-plus yards out of the rookie this season, that's a headache they will be happy to deal with.
The guy's career is four games old. He's pretty high on the list of people you could blame for blowing that game against Chicago. By far the biggest question right now is how we'll see him rebound from that shell-shocked rookiefied second-half performance last week.
And we're already starting the contract controversy talk?
At this rate, within three years we'll have a guy wanting to re-do his rookie deal before he even signs it.
And an extension is "not going to be terribly appealing to Jackson"? What are they supposed to do, rip up his current deal, give him a new three-year contract for far more money and then just let him walk?

Let's not forget that the CBA FORBIDS the Eagles from renegotating his contract until AFTER his SECOND YEAR IN THE LEAGUE (see Article XVII of the CBA).
This was enacted with the new CBA, and went into effect with the 2006 draft class.
Apparently, Domo has been asleep for a few years.

Precise language: Article XVII, Section 4:
"(i) The Player Contract of a Rookie may not be renegotiated until after his Club’s final game of the second NFL season following the signing of such Player Contract."

They say they don't read the papers, but you know Jackson's going to have this one taped to his bathroom mirror.
This is flat out lazy journalism. And in some ways irresponsible. I just don't think it's a good idea to feed these ego so early and before anything has been really proven. Talk about Westbrook sure...but DeSean?
Hell, tomorrow he ought to write his follow up article: Sav Rocca, if he wins NFL special-teams player of the month, every month, a hairy agent in New Zealand will most certainly be contacting the Eagles about a new contract.

Dare we call Domo's efforts Palin-esque?
Yes, we dare.
