This Town Cracks Me Up

Posted by Derek

This Sunday, the Eagles, a pass-first offense that almost always looks better in balmy September than frozen December, are playing Minnesota, a run-first-second-and-third offense that could properly function even in the face of gale-force winds.

So of course, this being Philadelphia, the last few days we've been reading stuff like this:

For the Eagles, Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is dangerous for another reason entirely. In the climate-controlled conditions of the dome, the temptation to throw the ball on every down may be too much for Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg to resist.

And this

It's possible - you've heard the nightmare scenario all week, Andy opting to pass, pass pass, loud dome, no offensive rhythm.
