Save The Date: IgglesBlog Meetup/ Tailgate, September 27, 2009

We'd like to announce that Derek and I will be officially consummating our Bromance at the Eagles - Chiefs game on September 27, 2009 at Lincoln Financial Field, and you're all invited.

Long-time readers may remember that the specific terms of the IgglesBlog - BountyBowl merger included a clause stipulating that Derek meet me at a Birds game this coming season.  Now that we've successfully navigated the single-game ticket landrush (at least one of us), we can commit to a specific date.  We think the Chiefs game will work for folks because the tickets should be relatively easy to procure (compared to division opponents, at least), the weather should be friendly, and it's at least a month before the annual Donovan McNabb Mid-Season Slump (tm).

We have tickets for the game, but we'll plan to start the day with a tailgate at the Linc, with the artery-clogging food and refreshments on us.  Our budget for said event is essentially our ad revenues for the next couple months, so, um, if you want better beer, it's probably a good idea to support our sponsors. 

We'll have more details as the date approaches, but we wanted to get this on the calendar in case you're in the process of planning out your attendance for the coming season.  I even made a nifty calendar invite if you're into that sort of thing (or if, like me, you can't remember anything unless it's written down/ entered into your calendar): IgglesBlog Meetup Tailgate.
