Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale Tomorrow; What's Your Scam?
Posted by BountyBowl
Single-game tickets for the upcoming Eagles season are going on sale tomorrow, June 16 at 10 am EDT. For those of you hoping to pay face value to see the Birds in person this coming season, this is your big shot to avoid the StubHub premiums.
Of course, I can only assume that many of your have been frustrated by attempts to buy single-game tickets in the past. I think I've only succeeded twice, and one of those times I foolishly bought individual tickets scattered throughout the stadium (Eagles host Patriots in 2003).
The problem is that my old scam doesn't seem to work anymore. Said scam involved calling Ticketmaster in a far-off city (say, Salt Lake City) at 9:40 am and asking about random concert tickets for 20 minutes ("Yes, I would like to know more about available seats for Riverdance in Jacksonville, Florida!") before -- as the clock on my computer/ cell phone/ cable box strikes 10 -- immediately changing gears and demanding Eagles-Giants tickets, as many as they'll sell me. But it's tough to get through even in those other cities, and the Ticketmaster customer-service script has gotten a bit wise to this fiendish plan.
Anyone else have a plan for tomorrow? Afraid to share publicly? Seriously, I'm desperate here.
