Training Camp In Pictures

One way to learn what's going on at training camp is to read everything you can find about it.  That's good stuff, but this is one time of the year I like to look at the pictures, too.  You can get a good sense of who looks fit (and who doesn't), which rookies have NFL bodies, and even which units guys are running with.

As I was going through philly.com's training camp photos, however, I noticed the captions weren't exactly the ones I would have picked, in many cases.  So this is going to require some split-screening to make sense, but my takes as follows (and note that the numbers will likely change as they add more pictures, so if you're reading this next week, it probably won't make much sense):

#3 - Ladies and Gentlemen, your starting 2009 offensive line:  Winston Justice, Stacy Andrews, Jamaal Jackson, Nick Cole and Todd Herremans.

#4 - With the safety this close, Lorenzo Booker would already have been on the ground.

#5 - Eagles' Sheldon Brown drops the football during training camp drills.  

#8 - "This game is so easy, I don't even have to look at the ball."

#9 - Who the hell is Dallas Reynolds?

#10 - That guy is solid, man.

#11 - Reggie Brown always looks so natural catching the ball.

#15 - Looks like Westbrook is going to be fine.  That looks harder than running routes.

#16 - Pretty sure that's a "rip" move.

#20 - "It puts the lotion in the basket!"  And that guy behind him isn't on the team, right?

#21 - We have a winner in the metro competition.

#25 - It's for advanced scouting, so he knows how people are going to bust his balls the next day.

#30 - Dude, look at Stacy Andrews.  Guy does NOT have a gut.

#32 - He just plays with such joy.

#33 - Good sign when the bag wins.

#42 - Oh yeah, positively svelte.

#45 - This dude just looks impressive.

#51 - Wow, Todd really did get big.

#61 - He had a little trouble with the yellow one, but absolutely peppered the red one, which is out of the frame, two yards behind and six inches off the ground.

#63 - Again, he's a rock.  What are the odds he's the "good" Andrews brother by the end of the year?

#71 - Yeah, I can see the Opie Taylor thing in this one.

#76 - Intriguing.
