Good Enough To Play, Not Good Enough To Stick Around

Posted by Derek

The other shoe dropped today, with the Eagles activating Mike Vick and, to make room, waiving Hank Baskett.

The only slightly odd thing about the move is that Baskett was one of five active WRs this weekend, as Reggie Brown and Brandon Gibson watched at home.  So he was good enough to play, but still first on the chopping block.

Guess we chalk that up to "big contract" and "potential."

Shouldn't take Baskett long to catch on somewhere.  Fifth WRs who are good dudes, don't rock the boat and can play special teams generally find a home.
