At Least The Soccer Fans Have Something To Talk About Today

Too bad Bounty's in the Himalayas, or else I'm sure he'd be all over the World Cup thing here.  Feel free to have at it in the comments.

I have to say, the whole Group of Death thing is one of the two coolest things about soccer, along with promotion/relegation.  It sounds even cooler in spanish.  Grupo de la muerte!!

(Least cool thing:  Duh.  You know you've been watching too much soccer when you are surprised to see football players getting hit on the sidelines and refusing to go down even when they might be able to draw a flag by doing it.  Football (Americano) players are just much, much cooler.)

Anyway, I gots nothing today.  Was hoping Simmons might say something interesting I could riff on, but his weekly psychiatric couch evaluation of the Eagles wasn't as good this week.  I am glad to see he took the Falcons, though.  Still a good sign.

One request for this weekend.  I'll be on the road most of the time.  Sort of hoping I'll be able to take a three-hour break for the Eagles game, but if you have any tips or tricks for listening to NFL broadcasts 1) In the car, 2) Without satellite radio, and 3) In possession of an iPhone, please email me.  I've got a few ideas, but if they don't pan out, I'd like some back-ups.
